Arctic Monkeys to turn down a move to the majors

Following the final release from their initial deal, it seems that Arctic Monkeys will snub advance from major labels in order to sign with Domino once again. "Suck it and See" was the fourth and final album due contractually with the Monkeys now musical free agents.

The Sheffield band have courted the interest of Sony and Columbia but, according to the band's manager - Ian McAndrew, Domino's offer will be straight to the top of the pile.

McAndrew stated:

"We have not entered into discussions with any other prospective label although we have received plenty of enquiries. Domino has been a great label for the band and afforded us fantastic support and therefore will be at the front of any future discussions we may have about further albums."

Reminds me of that old maxim... "If it ain't broke, don't fix it"

Ludacris - "Bada Boom"

Ludacris showing why he's probably one of the more overlooked rappers in the industry...

However... dissing Big Sean and Drake - that's like kicking two puppies in a bag.

Heavy D funeral gets the Obama treatment

With Diddy, Jay Z and Will Smith all in attendance, Heavy D received a well deserved send off.

The service which took place in Mount Vernon, New York, took place on Friday 18th November 2011. During the ceremony, Rev Al Sharpton read out a note that had been sent to D's daughter - Xea... a note that was prepared by no other than President Barack Obama.

The message read:

"We extend our heartfelt condolences at this difficult time. He will be remembered for his infectious optimism and many contributions to American music. Please know that you and your family will be in our thoughts and prayers."

RIP Heavy D
